I've played jazz keys since the late 60's, had my own trio, quartet, quintet, played with some known bands and some unknown ones both on the road and off the road. I've played venues in other countries such as Canada, Brazil, Japan and Australia.

I recently did a re-union tour with one of my bands called Jazz Enigma to Canada which turned out a flop due to not having the proper paper work. But that's another story in itself.

I started playing guitar at the age of 56 due to arthritis in my right hand fingers preventing me from playing a lot of piano. I also needed a mental break from reality after helping out for 3 months solid in New Orleans right after Katrina. Music was the answer and guitar simply became the vehicle. I still play keyboards when ever my fingers aren't locked up but can only play for a short time.

Whether I'm playing the piano, organ or the guitar, it really doesn't matter with what band I'm doing it with, as long as I can be creating jazz.

I create jazz with several bands: Aimless Sessions, Jazz Enigma, Mark Hammond Trio, Paradox Jazz Trio, Smooth n' Saxy, Windy City Ryde and I'm sure there will be more to come. I suppose my passion is the creativity and to see what level I can take it to with the musicians.
