Biography

Ken Mahren... "A distinctive collection of New Age, Folk, Jazz, and Classical Guitar influences".. makes a good sound bite. What influenced me the most when writing this music was Mussorgsky"s "Pictures at an Exhibition". Each piece is an acoustic guitar "story". I wrote these tunes to take you somewhere. I hope they do.
Once in the studio we tried out all kinds of ways to expand the sound of an acoustic guitar... an acoustic center surrounded by "crazy experiments". It was all quite interesting...
